Review of the Web-Based Tool Class Dojo

Class Dojo Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Definitely a 5/5 so give it a try!

Class Dojo is a classroom management website and app that has changed the game, and should be implemented into all schools. This tool allows educators to easily record and reward student behavior from any electronic device. ClassDojo also has a messaging capability that serves as the perfect bridge between home and school; allowing families to feel more connected to their child's classroom.

Interface

The interface of the Class Dojo website and app are both incredibly easy to navigate. It's simple layout and design is perfect since technology comfort will vary not only for the families, but for the educators as well.

Messaging

Class Dojo is great for building communities and keeping families involved with their child's learning. For instance, educators can use Class Dojo to remind families of the homework that's due or the unit test that is fast approaching. If not to send reminders, the messaging function is also the perfect place to share pictures of the students throughout the day, whether it be of a storytime that has their attention smitten, or a line up of ear to ear smiles resulting from a fun-filled art class.

With the messaging function on Class Dojo, information can also be shared privately or publicly. So whether you need to contact the parents of one student or the whole class, you can rest assured that your families will have access to the information you are trying to spread.

What makes this tool even more desirable is its ability to readily translate these messages into a variety of languages. This makes communicating with families seamless!

Speaking From Experience

The elementary school where I work uses Class Dojo. It's a tool that all of the educators love, and not just the homeroom teachers either! Class Dojo is the perfect web-based tool and app for the school librarian, special's team, and other support staff members to use to boost information about their programs or class updates.

Parents also favor Class Dojo as it allows them to quickly get information about important school updates. For instance, my principal will regularly share to what's called the "School Story." This is a message thread where all of the families and teachers connected will see a message. In the School Story, the principal and other teachers will share information about early dismissals, dress down days, fundraisers, book fairs, and other school-wide events.
